Little oopsie.... pin retainer fell out and allowed the pin to slide out out one side while the grapple had a full load, resulting in some carnage. I pulled the damaged half of the clam off and cut the bent section of mounting ear off. Being time sensitive I had to torch and "machine" the parts with a plug stone, but they turned out not too bad if I do say so myself. Everything fit together nicely and final tolerance was under a 1/16", both slices were welded 100%.
Lots of moving and positioning as well as a test fit to re-install the travel stop removed to get access to the inner plate, jobs like this take a little bit to do properly. I also put new bushings in to go with the new pin since the old ones didn't have much life left.
Nice little job, other than the incredibly soggy weather!
