Spider Excavator stick extension
The end of this stick extension is a combination of slightly under engineered and fatigued which means it had gotten to the point of needing repairs a few times a year. We decided to do some surgery on it, cutting out the bad section and splicing in a heavier piece of plate with hopes that it will stiffen things up enough to stop the flexing and cracking. Because its a sliding extension the welds need to be ground and no extra reinforcement can be added to the outside for mos

Buncher track frame crack repairs
Its been a while since I've been out in the woods, I missed it. Gravel pits and asphalt plants pay the bills, but its not the same. A buncher with some cracks in the well used track frame. As usual, prep and weld the cracks. I had done one side of this a few years back so i I copied the doubler plate onto cardboard using a hammer and made 3 more. Should be good for a while! Custom fabricated battery box
In between starting the last battery box and installing it the pump on this dump trailer died so I installed a new one for the customer. He decided he wanted a bigger box to hold everything together and keep the new pump out of the elements, so here we are. Nice change doing some fab work and tigging aluminum, I haven't done a lot of that for a good while. Do you need some Heavy Equipment repairs done by a mobile welder? Or a custom project fabricated? Jaw Pittman arm buildup
This jaw Pittman arm was supposed to go up for assembly this morning when it was discovered that the toggle seat groove was completely trashed and the machine shop had missed it. I spent the day building up and grinding both faces to get it as squared up and tight as possible. Its not brand new perfect but it turned out pretty damn good. The rock on the back face is gone and its as even as possible. The the side to side has a slight wiggle, instead of almost ⅜." Do you need s

Auction Bucket Re-Lug
Auction bucket re lug. The customer got a good deal on this bucket at the auction, but their machine has a very oddball quick change. I templated another one of his buckets, measured the quick change and templated the new bucket so I could work it all together. A little CardboardAD and ComputerAD and Pacific Bending in 100 Mile was able to cut me some nice clean lug profiles. Do you need some Heavy Equipment repairs done by a mobile welder? Thumb Extensions
This thumb had seen better days for sure. Fabricated some new tips / extensions and fit them on. The left side was especially worn so the new pieces ended up being asymmetrical to try and make up for the difference, the tips were within an ⅛ in every measurable dimension which is what matters. Tractor Bucket Overhaul
I've been picking away at this for a bit and finally wrapped it up today. The bucket that came on the tractor served the purpose of clearing snow this winter, but it needed some help. I had a fair bit of time in this but minimal material expense, everything was leftover or crops laying around. The base edge got replaced and and I added a second replacement cutting edge. The base edge consists of 2 crops of ½ ar 400 that I spliced and started out warped. A bit of clamping and

Bucket Rehab
A short notice bucket rehab. The customer wanted to replace the tooth adapters and convert them to a more common style. We replaced a section of the cheek plates and did some work on the heel edge while I was there. Do you need some Heavy Equipment repairs done by a mobile welder? Or a custom project fabricated? Loader quick attatch conversion
A long awaited shop equipment upgrade! The first step was converting the loader to a universal skid steer attachment to make adding new pieces easy and change overs fast. The old Massey doesn't exactly have modern universal spacing so blank attachment plates and cutom brackets were required. I had just enough ½ plate kicking around to make brackets. I had to layout and cut by hand and mag drill the pin holes, no fancy cnc anything on this job. Do you need some Heavy Equipment

Adding a Catwalk
Surprisingly enough, t his was my first time installing catwalks / underguarding. The job went pretty smooth and the parts fit quite nice, they needed to be cut to length for the size of machine, but minimal screwing around otherwise. Processor knife replacement
The knives on this unit were definitely well used, with lots of wear on the non consumable parts as a result. A bit of build up was required in a few spots, and a few cracks needed to be fixed, but it looks pretty good now. The customer didn't want to go nuts with rebuilding everything, but it should be good and servicable for a while longer. There were a bunch of parts variations for this model, and even the second try for the top knife wasn't quite right. A little heat and
